Transforming City Water into Healthy Water

The EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act was designed to ensure that public water is “safe” to drink. This means that public water must meet standards for known harmful contaminants. Because these standards are based on the best available, and most cost-effective, technology. As a result, these standards allow low levels of harmful contaminants, such are arsenic, lead and chlorination byproducts to remain in your drinking water! And even if public water utilities could produce “healthy” water, that water then travels through an aging infrastructure which could reintroduce harmful contaminants.

There is no doubt that disinfection – in most cases, with chlorine or chloramine – is essential to protecting public water consumers from bacteria and other pathogens. However, as it passes through distribution infrastructure, the residual chlorine / chloramine can react with natural organic matter in the water and transform into byproducts which can cause health problems from chronic exposure.

At SafeWell, we regularly test public water for over 90 contaminants, including PFAS, and, armed with a detailed water quality profile, we know how to transform the public water entering your home into healthy water.

We have installed thousands of softener systems, carbon filtration systems, and reverse osmosis systems in homes using public water, ensuring the highest water quality.

If you’re using public water and seek the best quality water from your taps, contact SafeWell today. Our expert team is prepared to assist you.

PFAS water testing

We had a 2-stage 20-inch whole-house water filter installed. The estimator listened carefully to our objectives, and helped us determine what we needed. The installation was neatly laid out, and expertly done. The price was better than two other estimates we got. In fact, one of them was very substantially higher, yet it specified only 3/4 inch pipes instead of the 1 inch pipes SafeWell used. We are very happy with the results.
